When using the default deployment of OneDrive for Business included in Microsoft 365 Apps for Business or Enterprise, users face many probes and settings that can be confusing or frustrating. Note: Going forward, you can configure your OneDrive for Business sync settings from the blue tray icon, not the white icon.Use Intune to Configure OneDrive for Business Oddly, when you complete the wizard, you get a second icon in the system tray for OneDrive for Business, just as was the case when the clients were separate.Īnd when you open File Explorer, you will see that each account-the newly renamed OneDrive – Personal and OneDrive – -are both available in the navigation pane on the left. As part of the wizard that appears, you can now choose which folders to sync too, just like you can in OneDrive consumer. To add your OneDrive for Business account, just click “Add a business account” and then provide your credentials as prompted. On the Accounts pane, you will see a new “Add an account” section. To find it, right-click OneDrive in the system tray and choose Settings. And now you can access both account types from the same UI. But that latter client is being phased out. Previous to this change, you could use two different sync clients: One for OneDrive (consumer), which comes with Windows 10, and a separate one for OneDrive for Business. But thanks to a recent update, you can also use the OneDrive sync client in Windows 10 to access both account types too. Microsoft has supported both consumer and business OneDrive accounts in its OneDrive mobile apps for some time now.
